WEATHER REVIEW is a new essential tool for analysis & visualization of weather data collected by your WS-2300, WS-2310, or WS-2315 unit.

How does WEATHER REVIEW work?

WEATHER REVIEW uses the stored weather history data collected by Heavy Weather Version 2.0 Beta Release to generate detailed graphical reports.

What do I need to operate the WEATHER REVIEW?

  1. Wireless Weather Station
  2. PC with operating system of Windows 98 or above

  3. Minimum browser requirements: Internet Explorer 4.0 or above

  4. Heavy Weather Version 2.0 Beta Release
  5. must be installed for the WEATHER REVIEW to work. It will not work with the Heavy Weather Software (version 2.10) that was provided on the CD-ROM with the unit.

What do I do if I already have a version of Heavy Weather Installed on my PC?

  1. Please uninstall the current version of (2.10) of the software.
(Uninstalling the old Heavy Weather Software will not remove the saved history files from your PC. The history files will remain unaffected and can be used again once the newer version is installed however as with any file, users should take the precaution to make a backup copy of a history file in the event of data loss during the un-installing and installation process.)
  2. Delete the following directory from your PC...
    C:\HEAVYWEATHER\CVIRTE
  3. Once you have uninstalled the old version of the software and deleted the directory mentioned above, Download and Install Heavy Weather Version 2.0 Beta Release.

The Publisher is the essential tool for emailing and uploading the latest weather data from the weather station to your FTP Server.

How does the Publisher work?
  1. The Publisher is used to publish weather information over the Internet

  2. Created weather images can be emailed to a list of recipients

  3. The latest weather images can be used at user defined intervals for uploading to an FTP server
What do I need to operate the Publisher?
  1. PC with operating system of Windows 98 or above

  2. Minimum browser requirements: Internet Explorer 4.0 or above

  3. The Heavy Weather Version 2.0 Beta Release

  4. Wireless Weather Station

What are the changes to the Heavy Weather Version 2.0 Beta Release?
  1. The 'currdat.lst' file is now created for the Publisher to read the data from the weather station.

  2. Specified recording intervals at 5min, 10min, 15min, 20min, 30min, 40min, 50min and every full hour are now taken at 'rounded times' such as 10:10 and 10:30 instead of an 'uneven time' such as 10:17.
Why must the Heavy Weather Version 2.0 Beta Release be used?

The Publisher must read the newly created data file 'currdat.lst' otherwise the data from the weather station cannot be displayed in the Publisher

Notes for operating Publisher:

  1. If the Heavy Weather or the Publisher applications are installed outside the C:\HeavyWeather directory, then please the map the 'currdat.lst' file to your new directory in the Publisher 'Extras/Options' since this file is set at C:\HEAVYWEATHER\currdat.lst by default

  2. As a suggestion the Publisher should be setup in C:\HeavyWeather to read the 'currdat.lst' file.
  3. Online connection must be established for the test feature to work on the Publisher Server.

Download Heavyweather PC software for use with the WS-2300, WS-2310, and WS-2315.

Users can access the latest weather information from their PC, receiving up to 175 sets of weather data recorded by the base station. This information can then be used to generate useful statistics and charts on Excel spreadsheets (Excel not included).
